Yes, it seems to be getting worse and it's extremely frustrating. Especially since I often work from home -- and rely on Ring as well.
We have a new xFi XB7 Gateway on the way, and I'm hoping that the problem is just with our current gateway (Arris supplied by Xfinity) getting flaky in its old age. If not, I'll have Xfinity investigate, because this is really getting tiresome.
We're near the base of Alabama Hill, if that's of any interest --
Its been bad by the airport, near the Guide, and out in Birch bay. From random drops to rubberbanding, its been a weird few days for some of us. Good thing nobody in our group is a Streamer.
I hate to be that guy, but what is the best internet in town? I'm moving from somewhere that has symmetrical gig fiber and it's a municipal utility. I can't recall if it's ever been down in the last 2 years since it rolled out. Obviously it's an ideal situation and I'm sad to be leaving it behind.
I've been looking and it seems like there is fiber around but it's not wide spread. Has there ever been a push for municipal fiber?
Is Comcast pretty much the best game in town?
Municipal Internet is being considered and there's a city advisory committee on how to go forward with it, but that's it. Going really slow.
Xfinity sadly is the best ISP in town unless you get fiber from CenturyLink.
Municipal fiber was a long and hard battle here. Comcast spent over 15 million fighting it. And then the rollout was slow as well. But it is so worth it. I will absolutely be joining the push any way I can. Internet should be a utility
Northside near Bellis Fair, and yes. The last month or so I’ve been having random drops in quality. No regularity just suddenly I’ll be rubber banding in games or streaming quality will tank.
My wifi kicks in and out but the hardline seems to be fine most of the time.
Also, check the coax connector and make sure it isn't loose. Mine was and not noticed, caused all my neighbors problems. Comcast eventually traced it to me and put a filter on my line. So definitely call and complain , because could be a localized issue like this.

Yes! It’s so random and frustrating. No matter how many times I reset my router and troubleshoot on their useless app, it doesn’t fix it. They raised our monthly rate without notifying us, too, fucking ballsy when their internet sucks ass.
Hi there! We live in Tennessee, 30 minutes from Nashville. Just signed up for Xfinity switching from ATT, anybody have any thing to help us get up and running? ATT, in our immediate area, wasn't giving us very good service - also, service outage for about the last 2 weeks. Thanks hgc
So.. I thing I have been able to pick up, just from reading some of the posts, is to use your own equipment? I still have a gateway from ATT that I may try to use.. I just hope this is not another mistake!! hgc
I swear the internet EVERYWHERE has been crap lately regardless of the ISP. I've been hearing it from everyone.
We're on Holly and it's been awful for days.
Has this been unusual lately?
Yeah, it's been fine till these last 4 days.
Yep. It goes out intermittently and the signal is often bad. Been happening for a while now.

When I switched my parents from an old Arris to the new gateway from Comcast, the WiFi doubled in speed.
Wow! That's awesome. I'm hopeful.
Did the wired connection also get faster? Or more reliable?
Can’t say for sure
WECU had a network outage on Friday that they blamed on Comcast.
Huh, interesting. I wonder if it's related?

Out Deming way we've had intermittent drops 2 or 3 evenings a week. Out for a few hours at a time, been going on for nearly a month
Haven't had issues in Fairhaven, but I'm not renting any equipment from them either.
I'm not renting either, I have a Netgear c3700v2 that I've been using for the past two years.
Yeah, it's been spotty
Everyday in America the phrase "you get what you pay for " gets more and more false
Yes SV

Yeah ours has been pretty rough the last few days

Our has been on and off over the last few months…it definitely dips during peak hours but I haven’t been bothered enough to pitch a fit yet ha

If it rains too much I can pretty much guarantee my internet is gonna suck… but it’s been horrible the last week or so
