Was it just me or wasn’t the best part this game figuring out how to do the most with your roster by learning the creative web of counters that gave the game any argument for being balanced? A lot of amazing work by awesome players is being lost and that feels bad man.

That was the beauty of the game in the beginning. It was truly about having random characters from different eras work together. Why the new changes that’s going to go to the wayside.

Keep making noise! CG has to fix this!

Yeah, there is a host of knowledge on YouTube and elsewhere that will now become useless. Of course many Youtubers won't pull their old videos that are still earning them ad revenue. As a result, many new players will be misled and frustrated when all those counters no longer work. I don't think this is going to help with new player retention. But hey, why think long term when there are short term profits to be made!

Agreed. Having crazy mismatched teams like GG nuke was great. When I managed to beat GL Rey by throwing Thrawn into my CLS team in place of Chewie this last GAC round it was awesome, best achievement in the game so far. I play these games to try and come up with teams that 'punch up' - its like a little challenge to myself. No matter how the dress it up I am certain that this is about CG shoring up their paywalls on conquest/Galactic Challenges/GL meta. After all, most of the fan-favorite characters are already in the game, many in multiple forms (Han/Chewie/Kenobi). The excuse about creating 'new and exciting toons' is just a PR spin on them trying to keep the whales cash flowing.
