My problem is that it's thought to use your whole roster. But most of the time, I'm down to one or two squads because other squads get obliterated by teams who are way below their relic levels.
I've got no problem with it taking more time. But if I burn lots of energy to see with which teams I might get a turn, it gets annoying.
Fair enough, that might also just be the first time you encounter that team, the next time you know what to use or just take the other route
I'm already trying to avoid GAS, because I've got no viable counter to him. And Bad Batch are just a pain, so that are already two teams I cannot encounter because they'll most likely road block me. Adding a third leaves almost no route. And I'm not only looking at the next node but also the others that are visible.
That being said, I get through and am in sector 5. But compared to the last conquests it just feels way less fun.
Wait until you get to the harder levels and you try to use GEOs. They die before they even get to take a turn. Yeah lots of fun.
Here's an example of the shit that this Conquest is. In Section 4, there is a feat for Smugglers (14 battles to complete it) and then there is a feat for no attackers (10 fights). Of course, you can't make a team of Smugglers that have no attackers - so for just 2 feats, it requires a minimum of 24 fights. It's crap like that just makes me hate CG and Conquest in general.
I get that it is hard, and it is. But I think the problem is the repetitiveness of the feats. Like gain frenzy x amount of times, win x battles with y faction, and the kill x characters with y faction (strictly because zombie doesn’t exist in hard mode apparently).
The other issue is the higher cost of energy for battles, as well as the cost of energy to swap disks. It’s less about the difficulty of the event, and more about the fact that it’s now a crystal sink, as well as a gigantic looming chore

As a person who plays normal mode i don't think other players on normal mode shouldn't talk about difficulty, it's very easy for someone at 3 mln gp. Its6othing close to difficulty on hard
Unreachable feats, absurd modifiers, sadistic pre-loaded turn meter. I have a 5M roster and I am being stonewalled by BB in sector 4 taking a dozen turns before I even get to go, having Omega (!) one-shot my entire R7 501 team. Did I mention the feats?
How about taking another team in? It's supposed to be for a bigger roster and if you can't beat that, than choose another path

You clearly haven't read what I have just listed. We weren't playing the mode how it was supposed to be played. That's why they changed it. It might feel negative but that is because the initial conquest was just way too easy/hard

I've already "finished" it. Now I'll be spending a week fighting the same battles over and over, I expect to get the highest level box.
If your game design is to use the same teams in the same battles over and over then that's a problem. This is something that is supposed to be enjoyable this is not.
I'm okay with the difficulty and not just because I have an 8 million GP roster so I'll get the top box. I am sorry that your 5 million/6 million GP roster can't get the top box. That doesn't mean it's a bad event.
So in short, I agree that people shouldn't be expecting to get the top box just because you qualify for the event. I disagree that the design is enjoyable. I'd rather see more challenging feats than just keep repeating.
do you feel like R8 rewards should be locked to those who can get the top 2 crates? i.e. those who have 6.5 mil or better with 2+ GLs already in hand?
There are two different ways for me to interpret your question so I'll answer both.
If you mean should it be locked by GP meaning that you need to have a certain GP to achieve it similar to GAC divisions, then no. I view it like this week's Galactic Challenge. If you can beat it with your G10 jawas then you deserve the top rewards.
If you mean it as in R8 rewards are difficult enough to attain then I agree with you, but it's clearly a strategy they are using to drive revenue. JMK, LV, and Executor are clearly pushing in that direction and I've recently come to the realization that since there isn't any content that's driving the need for R9 and they apparently aren't loosening R8 requirements that it is purely to provide more things for the spenders to buy.
Do you have any suggestions for more challenging feats? I get your point about redoing the battles, but I think they should be easier at the end of conquest due to you having more data disks you can use
You have more data disks, but the data disks are random, so you can't really rely on having the right combination of disks.
As far as suggestions, not really...but then again I'm also not a game designer. I can give you some concepts though. How about move some of the boss type feats to the mini bosses. So rather than making you fight the same battle 3 times to get all the feats something that can be done in one or two if you can theorycraft it. How about counting a 4 man team the same as full as a possibility as well.
That isn't really more exactly more challenging feats, I think there isn't much room for challenging feats.
So to be clear you believe that the Galactic Conquest can't be designed any better than it is?
I don't know, the feats we have right now are basically all the games mechanics you I don't really know what they could add. But I'll wait for the next conquest to see what CG will do
They've had at least 3 different sets of feats in GC so far, so to suggest that there's nothing else that can be done sort of undermines your point.
Because there aren't challenging mechanics that aren't being used rn, maybe they could add something like one shot X amount of enemy's or do something with the time frame?
In Hard mode, it's not about using your full roster. Far too often, you find yourself relying on 4 teams to get the fights done. you have your GLs, you have your Padmes, Revans, 501st, and CLS teams - basically anything that are your GAC Aces, and just about everything else cannot get the job done. Then you throw in speed on top of speed on top of more speed and if you throw in a G12 or low-relicked team into Hard mode where you're fighting R6 -8 teams, you get wrecked before taking a turn.
Then there are the paywalls. I've bene farming bad batch from the get go. I won't get any of them to 7\* until early december at best. Now, how would a 6\* G11.4 zeta bad batch team possibly compete against a fully R8 Sith Empire team? I don't care how many bonuses you stack onto your Bad Batch team, it's not getting the job done.
And if you're foolish enough to even try, 1/7th of your fight recovery time is done for that day. hey, maybe I can take out a Tusken team. +80% Speed tells you pretty quickly that no, in fact, you don't stand a chance against thoes Tuskens.
Many players who couldn't get max crates belived that they were going to be able to get CAT this Conquest around. With 255 in hand, it would be easy for them to get those 75 shards for her - only to look at those max crate rewards - to find out that those 90 shards others were getting in previous Conquests have been reduced by more than 50%, thus stretching that gap between the haves and have nots even further. But you can buy those shards now... yeah, but most of those players without CAT now, would still be locked behind two more conquests to get her.
And all throughout, you're faced with the knowledge that you're going to have to do a minium amount of 20x refreshes throughout the 2 weeks, to even have a chance at getting to Crate 6, which essentially puts a firm 1000 crystal cost on getting 5 Aeromagnifiers - meaning most players who have been farming for Master Kenobi/Executor/Vader for the last few months (and are in guilds who cannot complete CPIT) are now locked behind a 4000 crystal minimum paywall from getting their newest GL - which ironically, would dramatically help their efforts in getting higher crates in Conquest.
Add to this with the Nerf. Characters you heavily relied upon have now been relegated largely to marginally effective characters you have spend loads of effort in farming. Near GL's like Luke and GAS are now barely worth the effort. F2P aces, with perfect kits for thier characters and lore now can barely do anything worthwhile.
Put this all together, and you put yourself in the current situation - with a thoroughly demotivated fanbase, frustrated with inadequate rewards - especially in R8 requirements, only to receive a conquest that could be best compared to a minimal effort high-school science project (which is an insult to some of the more well thought out science projects). Follow that with ZERO interaction from developers for nearly a week, well, i think you can understand why people would be a little bit more than pissed off at the developers of late.
Trust me not everyone is bitching about it its a bit annoying on feats but Its doable. Not to mention its a game mode thats supposed to go on for years people want to beat it on the first day lol
Agree but I can understand the frustration bc the rewards are only accessible for a very limited amount of events, it's not like working towards beating the event like a raid or a TB..
I think it's too early to make that assumption, we don't know how the characters will become available after conquest
Yeah, that's true, but they certainly will have a twist which will make them hard to get like a pretty long time treshhold until they become farm able so the whales that blasted through to get the T7 Box are rewarded

Yeah and I welcome that. Doesn't change the fact that most people even we'll beyond the 4mil GP mark won't unlock Maul bc he will be out of Conquest way too soon and people can't obtain a max crate anymore..

I still think they need to either revert the energy required per battle back to 15 or reduce the energy recovery time to 1 per 10 min instead of 12.
For the feats, some people overreacting on how hard some feats are (like the potency down feat), but the full team battle feats need to be reduced to 6 or 8 battles (for sector 1&2) and 4 battles (for sector 3,4, and 5)
But than hard modes becomes too easy again
Repeating battle doesn't mean it's hsrd, it's just boring. I much more prefer attemp to inflict (insert debuff) or gain (insert buff) rather than faction feats because people can theorycraft to complete a lot of feats in one run.

Wdym? It's still the same for any players except they just need to do less refreshes. Focused roster that barely reach 4m still can't complete the faction feats even if the amount needed is reduced because they don't have the characters that are needed.
Want the whales/broad roster to be rewarded? Make a mandalorian team feats in sector 4 and ewoks feats in sector 5. People who don't have them gesred up still can't do Jack shit even if it only require 4 battles. However people who have the ewoks reliced will be happy as they only need to do 4 battles (because ewoks most likely can't beat teams under 100% stamina) instead of the current amount

People who refreshes will always refresh. Cg can't change that no matter what. Those who finis conquest in a week will still finish it in a week even if cg made it insanely time consuming and you need like 10 refreshes a day + stim packs

Two things for you:
1. the furor will die down once everyone gets the hang of it and watches the videos on how to get easy feats.
2. you're in the wrong place to say "stop flaming xxx". This subreddit exists as a place for people to shout and yell and ignore anything that doesn't fit their "cg are evil" storyline. Let them vent.
Except it doesn't use a broad roster, other than grinding meaningless feats that require a specific team. Everything else is done by the same 5 teams. Conquest used to be a fun and engaging game mode. Now it's just another grind fest that I find highly annoying.

Oh, I actively avoid Jawas, PAdme teams with that reflexive damage, and Rebel teams who continuously attack. I've been KO'd by a Kanan when I've had foresight and another time Hero ripped me apart with Crit Immunity .
