Yes, it is pretty useless without LiveData in my opinion
Thank you very much for the reply!
I started without the data but it was pointless without data.
Yes there’s nothing to do without it. If you want a free option look at think or swim or maybe trading view
Trading view is for charting
I use finviz, but I am thinking about it. I heard thinkorswim is free, but dont know if its good. I use yahoo finance for realtime
I use ToS and love it, but no matter how much I tune my scans they are never a perfect match for Q's and I even use one that is supposed to be an exact replica for ToS.
Still... ToS is fast, easy to use, free, and professional enough for me.
Can you put In the same coding formulas as They do In tc2000?
Not quite. ToS uses a different syntax/language and sometimes the "equivalent" code produces similar but different results.
Most online brokerages do free trades now days, does tc still charge per trade?
TC2000 is a charting software, not broker. And usually zero comissions brokerages are not that great.
It is possible to trade through TC2000.
So he’s running scans and setting his stops and everything else we see on twitch/you’ve on TC200 but he actually executes his trades on a different platform?
A brokerage can be connected to TC2000.
They charge $4.95 per trade. Not worth it. They route through IB, so might as well just trade directly with IB without commissions.
I do, but to be honest I find it inefficient, the server have often huge delays, the post market shows oscillations that do not exist in reality, and let alone using it on mac( where i use the web browser), they miss really basic features as the past quarter in the charts and are way moreexpensive than tradingview. If will find some time to move my scanners i will switch to trading view and benefit from the pine scripts. They do not improve continuosly the product and confide in boomers that every year are less
What? Stop. TC2000 is a much more complete and robust tool than Tradingview and it isn’t close. They’ve released 4 major versions since I’ve used it and the software is absolutely top notch. And here’s a tip: stop with the “boomer” bullshit. It makes you sound weak and whiny.
I see where you coming from and TradingView is great. But if you want to do complex scanning, TC2000 is the way to go IMO
TV drives me nuts because it's so insanely slow loading charts
The point is that TC does not have a mac version, and they figured out a virtual machine that is super slow, nor in 2022 provide a mobile version, but really the fact I have to switch to TV to see the quarterly charts is shameful, such an important feature linked to earnings.. Possibly you say that because you have window. I have 5g on phone and super fast connection at home, I know few pro day traders that use TV to scalp on futures, and personally I never had delays their servers are much way more responsive( they invest into that). TC would have been a great company even today if they would invest more in continuos delivery
